So sorry to hear that, same happened with my cat. Always check with your neighbours, they will be very nearby, keep going out at night that’s when cats are likely to come back. Shake dry food, keep calling his name. I stayed for 6 hours in the back of my garden. I even had to cut into neighbours fence to get him back as neighbours wouldn’t open the door for us. He will definitely come back.
