PR203145: Sorry to be obvious - has cat been scanned for microchip? Take to local vet or contact rescues who will have scanners.

Hi Radders, slippery little suckers they can be. No where locally have a cat trap? Good luck, and thank you for caring.

We managed to catch the little minx and take her to the vet for scanning. Turns out she's tagged and from the same exact postcode as us (vet wouldn't reveal exact address). Brought her back and she immediately had a kip in our garden! Anyway the cat is not lost, just cheekily rocks up here a lot. Thanks all for your help.

This female cat has become more and more tame, even seeking attention and coming in for head rubs. Now near permanents hangs around in our garden or nearby. My wife and daughter caught it, took it to the vets, who onlt confirmed it is chipped and the postode is the same as ours. However this is unconvincing, until we gave it a brush it was, dirty, constantly bites its tail and grooms itself. When given food it smashes it and wants treats after. Drunk water for over 2 minutes from our water bucket. and is is skinny and looks under-fed. DOES ANYONE RECOGNISE THIS CAT please - Postcode BS31 2JL, Kelston Road area of Keynsham. If so please get in touch. Should the vets have given us an address? The phone number, or rang the phone number themselves? One person said it may belong to the owners of one of the bungalows nearby, I have knocked on the door of some of them and spoken to the owners, showed photos of the cat, they don't know it. Any info welcome. Please share.

Cat actually belongs to someone just down the street. I had asked this person if it was there's and they lied to me and said it wasn't. But they are a recluse with special needs and have a track record about lying about there cats in fear that people will investigate further. We'll still give the cat treats now and again and perhaps comb it but no more food as apparently it is a blagger and visits several houses daily for food and is well know for this in the area! It will be just fine.
