Circumstances:	He was stuck about 15ft up a tree, when we managed to get him down he was taken to the vet but they could not find a microchip. Because of his misadventure and lack of collar or microchip, we figured he was an indoor cat and didn’t want to abandon him on the busy green, so took him indoors.

TBH, you should have left him up the tree. It would have found it's way down eventually. It likely lives & belongs to someone on the peabody estate facing the park. I lived there years ago. You should ask around this estate.
